Volatility and RTP — two numbers that shape your decision
Volatility (or variance) tells you how frequently and how large the prizes can be. Low-volatility slots pay out smaller prizes more often — your balance lasts longer. High-volatility slots may go a long time without paying, but a single win can be large.
RTP (Return to Player) is the theoretical percentage returned per ৳100 wagered over the long term. For example, Fortune Mouse has a maximum RTP of 96.96% — this is a long-term average, not a guaranteed return. An RTP above 96% is generally considered good.
If your budget is limited, start with low-volatility, high-RTP games. If you are looking for the chance of a bigger win, set aside a small portion of your budget for high-volatility games.
- Small budget: low volatility, high RTP
- Longer sessions: medium volatility
- Chasing bigger prizes: high volatility, jackpot games
